Charles Bukowski: August 16, 1920- March 9. 1994

In honor of Charles Bukowski going to that Great Liquor Store in the Sky exactly 20 years ago today, I’m reprinting one of my old, cheesy comic strips.

  1. Bukowski was alot like Crumb who you did a thing on earlier: to have his success, you’d have to have been born in his ugly body and had his fucked-up life. Having seen the doc “Crumb”, I wouldn’t choose to be R Crumb for all his millions and well deserved rep as a great American genius. Bukowski wasn’t on the same level of timeless talent as Crumb, but he’s a rough parallel, at a lower level.
