Moo Cat vs. Scaredy Cat: Round 7

And in this corner, mighty Moo Cat.

In one of the big surprises of 2017. Moo Cat — who had been run out of my campsite and banished from the feral cat tribe by all the other feral cats for acting like such an asshole. Has somehow managed to worm her way back into my campsite.

At least for the time being.

So they’re all hanging around together this morning. Seemingly getting along. Next thing I know they’re hissing and screeching at each other. And Scaredy Cat chases Moo Cat right up a tree.

Moo Cat sits up there in the tree for awhile. Cowering. Then eventually she climbs back down and rejoins the other cats.  Moo Cat is sort of the classic character who’s always talking shit but can’t back it up.

I have no idea what is going on with those two.  Scaredy Cat is a benevolent ruler, I guess. She’s basically saying to Moo Cat: “Listen, I’m gonna let you back into the tribe so long as you behave yourself. But if you start acting up again, I’ll be on your ass so quick it’ll make your head spin, girl!” Ha ha.

Moo Cat is bigger and older than Scaredy Cat. But she’s no match for Scaredy Cat, who’s much too quick and agile. Plus, Scaredy Cat (in spite of her name) is fearless. And she will not back down. Whereas Moo Cat is a bit of a coward. Ha ha. Always among the first to go running up the hill when there’s a disturbance.

And when they have slash fights — which is how they resolve their disputes — Scaredy Cat vs. Moo Cat is like Muhammad Ali going against a three-toed sloth. She’s much too fast with her punches.  Moo Cat doesn’t stand a chance. The poor dear. Hopefully, she’ll learn to behave herself.  But knowing Moo Cat, that’s doubtful. Ha ha.
