Moo Cat

This photo will always be special to me. I had been gone for 10 months living in Arizona. And this was my first day back at my campsite in the Berkeley hills

Moo Cat had somehow survived in my absence. And this was her, approaching me for the first time. Nervously. You can see the fear and apprehension in her eyes. “Is that really HIM??” 10 months is a LONG time in the life of a feral cat. And she hadn’t had contact with any humans for that period of time.

Finally she worked up the courage to approach me. And as soon as I reached out and petted her it was like the damn had broken. And she jumped all over me, purring wildly.
