This homeless woman panhandling on Telegraph told me she’d been diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer and she only had a couple months to live. She just wanted to raise enough money to go back to Virginia so she could see her family one last time before she died. Boy, that’s a tough one. I gave her a couple of bucks and wished her luck.
I think about that every time I pass that woman on the streets. She’s still here, panhandling on Telegraph, three years later. Ha ha.
