did you ever have stalkers when you sold at the corner?
I didn’t get stalkers, per se. But I would periodically have problems with some people. As most of the Telegraph vendors sometimes did (more than a few of them kept a baseball bat stashed under their vending tables in case they had to deal with unruly customers). There was always a wild element underlying that corner of Telegraph and Haste (half a block from People’s Park and a magnet for the street scene). So it was inevitable that you’d occasionally have to deal with some volatile characters. And I dealt with them as best I could…. How are things with your vending table these days down the block?
Also, too, I used to stay out there sometimes until midnight. So things could get hopping. Especially on the weekends…. I miss it in a lot of ways. It was a lot of fun.
